On the hottest day of 2011, Clare and Tommy tied the knot at the lovely Palm Beach on Sydney's north shore. I'll admit, I wasn't the "official" wedding photographer however I did manage to capture a numerous amount of gorgeous moments between the two and of course, their delightful little girl, Betty Jean. Here are a few of their selects...

BALI
From the 8th - 15th of October, I went to Bali for a holiday, sight seeing and happy snapping like the archetypal tourist. I wasn't concentrating so much on my photography, though I did capture a few stunning sunsets, mischievous water babies and an early morning hike up Mt. Batur Volcano, photographing the highlights of my partner's experience.
I took these shots at Jimbaran Bay where I was staying. I love the light streak from the sun setting in the background and the ripples from the water, enhanced by the silhouettes of my subjects.

Mt. Batur Volcano is approximately 1717m above sea level, located in the Kintamani District, north west of the island. Batur has erupted several times with the largest eruption in 1926 destroying the Batur Village. After an early morning wake up call (2am!), we made our way up the Volcano to experience one of the most breath taking (and chilly) sun rises I have ever seen.
Our guide, Gidi, then demonstrated just how active the Volcano was, carefully digging out some of the volcanic rocks from small steaming craters so that we could listen to them crackle as they cooled down from the morning air.
